Instructions
Melt 0.25 cup butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add 2 lbs ground beef to the saucepan.
Season the beef with 2 teaspoons salt, 0.5 teaspoon allspice, 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon, and 0.5 teaspoon black pepper.
Cook and stir the beef for 7 to 10 minutes until it is browned and crumbly.
Drain any excess fat from the saucepan.
Add 5 cups chicken stock and 2 cups rice to the browned beef.
Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
Reduce the heat to low. Cover the saucepan with a tight-fitting lid.
Simmer for about 20 minutes, until all the liquid is absorbed by the rice.
While the rice cooks, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a small skillet over medium heat.
Add 0.5 cup pine nuts to the melted butter.
Cook and stir the pine nuts for 3 to 5 minutes until they are lightly browned.
Once the rice is cooked, gently stir the toasted pine nuts into the beef and rice mixture.
Serve the Syrian Rice with Meat immediately.
