  • 0.25 cup - Sour Cream (null)
  • 2 tablespoons - Chopped Onion (tbs)
  • 0.5 tablespoon - Dried Oregano (tbs)
  • 0.25 teaspoon - Salt (tsp)
  • 8 slices - Bread (null)
  • 8 slices - Bacon (null)
  • 8 slices - Tomato (null)
  • 4 slices - Mozzarella (null)
  • 2.5 tablespoons - Butter (Tbs)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, chopped onion, dried oregano, and salt. Mix these ingredients well until evenly combined.
  2. Take four slices of bread. Spread the mixture you just made evenly over one side of each of these four bread slices.
  3. On top of the spread mixture on each of these four slices, layer two slices of bacon, two slices of tomato, and one slice of mozzarella cheese.
  4. Place the remaining four slices of bread on top to complete four sandwiches.
  5. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  6. Add 2.5 tablespoons of butter to the hot skillet or griddle and allow it to melt.
  7. Carefully place the prepared sandwiches into the melted butter in the skillet or on the griddle.
  8. Cook the sandwiches for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. The bread should be golden brown and crispy, and the cheese should be completely melted. If needed, add more butter to the pan before flipping the sandwiches to cook the second side.
